Is this Ipomoea cordatotriloba, Wild Purple?

Georgetown, SC(Zone 8a)

Volunteer, choking my Mex. Petunias. Flowers are smaller than other MG's I have planted. I think it may be Wild Purple, aka "Sharp Pod" MG?

Thanks,

Deb

I. cordatatriloba .. it's trying to eat Summerville .. invasive as all get out and can winter over. If it's a small swarm and manageable, start pulling every flower you see every day and if you are lucky there won't be as much next year.

Thanks, X. I thought so, especially when I saw your comment in PF. I had to cut it out of my Mex. Petunias. There have been a few flowers already that I just let drop (Oooh noooo!), but I'll watch and pluck the rest like a hawk. It is a small patch at present but is amazingly fast. Reminds me of Kudzu.
