Finally some blooms

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

It's been so hot and dry not many have bloomed. We're 90 for the weekend. This is Pure Love of Kell's. It's so cute and fat.

Correction on this one. It was one of Tracy's I think.

It's sure good to see you having some blooms. I hope it cools down for you, soon. By the way, I sure like the color of your seedling in post #4005015.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Love them all, but #4005062 is a beauty!

Gloria

Thanks, diehrdsouthrnr.

Thanks, Shirley. I'm so ready for cooler weather. We had a couple of cloudy 80's degree days and now back to the 90's and still no rain. The cats and beetles are loving the blooms. I have so many butterflies, I don't want to bring out the hard chemicals. I need to pick up some BT.

Thanks, Gloria. It's so good to finally see some blooms.

Same here Ada, we are getting plenty of blooms now. Better hurry up, as frost will be on the way very soon and all will have to be potted and moved inside.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Yep, they start blooming pretty right before the frost.

Chickenville, FL(Zone 9a)

Very pretty. I am soo jealous of your autumn treasure :) You sure are having good luck with all your babies. I am glad you are getting some nice blooms before frost.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Wow.. that's what I love to see! Blooms galore! Very nice!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 4a)

All beauties, Ahelms! You're one of the lucky ones to be growing Kell's babies out.

:) Donna

Thanks, Angel tree. Autumn Treasure gets darker but I was sitting at the hospital with family and didn't get pics of her. Brugies cross gets darker also.
Thanks, ZZ. My yard smells so good in the evenings. LOL
Thanks, Donna.

oh wonderful Ada. So glad you are getting blooms. I know what a harsh summer you have had this year. They are beautiful

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Shoot Lady, you have so many flowers!!! I finally have buds but I have mites too!! I haven't had any mites all summer. I tell you with brugs it is one thing or another. LOL

I want to tell everyone that Pure Love is a great brug. It was seed from Susie that Tracy grew out. I must say for the last 3 years at least it has been my favorite brug of all. I had it so I could see it outside my office window. This year I moved it and I miss it so much. It has tons of blooms right now too but too many! The stems grew so fast after being frozen back, that they are too thin to hold up a bunch of huge flowers. So they are now all bent over to the ground. I have been too busy out and about to find the velcro to tie them up. In my cool temps, I get golden highlights on the points and ribs. White and gold. It is just too pretty for words. And the buds emerging from the calyx is a fantastic sight. Just a really great brug. Great fragrance too.

Ada, I just love Post #4005017. Too pretty!

Lewiston, CA(Zone 7b)

Wow, Ada, thems is some mighty nice blooms! Glad someone is seeing blooms!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Thanks, Kell. That one is a cross with Creamsickle X Rhapsody. Thanks for posting the background on Pure Love. and thank you for sharing it with me.

Thanks, Donna.

Thanks BJ. The blooms have been scarce this year with the heat and drought. We're still having 90's.

Ada that last one is to die for. Love the shape and color. Hope at least one of mine turns out that nice

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

They are all nice. Isn't it fun to finally have blooms. Congrats on surviving the heat and drought. You blooms look wonderful.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

WOW Ada, that is a great color pink. And good tendrils too. Is she good enough to name?

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Thanks, Cindy, Donna and Shirley.
We're still trying to survive the heat and drought. It's so dry here and the water supply is scary.I'll be glad to get out of the 90's temperatures. We have big trees and bushes dying from the drought. They say it's the driest it's been since 1870.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Kell, we cross posted. I think she deserves a name but probably needs to be grown longer.

Sunset Beach, NC(Zone 8a)

All beautiful!

DHS, aren't you a proud Papa with your first blooms! Congrats!

Crumpler, WV

Ada and Kell, congratulations to both of you on that double pink. Like DonnaB said, the overall shape and color are great. Sure looks like a keeper to me, but like Kell said it’s got to be tested longer. Oh, how is her fragrance?

Ada, does Autumn Treasure ever get that deep orange color for you? The fragrance of Autumn Treasure is one of my favorites, a very lemony or citrus smell to me.

I am like Kell; Pure Love truly is a very nice brug. Mine would also get the golden highlights on the bloom. And something else I like about her too, is she has a pretty big bloom. I am sad though, this is one of the brugs that I lost over the winter last year. I lost quite a few brugs last winter because I let them get too dry. Some of my brugs pulled out of this when I was able to get them outside and really keep the root ball moist, but a lot did not.  Some of the brugs I lost were Creamsickle, Pure Love, Gypsy Queen and others that I can’t remember right off the top of my head.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Thanks BDunn and David.
I agree David it needs to be trialed longer. She has a great fragrance.
This is just the first set of blooms on Autumn Treasure, David. the blooms got darker but hasn't reached the orange stage yet. With the drought and heat, I'm amazed they even bloom. I sent you a D-mail.
