Plumie Flowers in a Ring
Now that one is breathtaking to me! How many times have I said that? lol Really, that's special.
Thanks;-) I think so too.
Great pic Clare I'm leaning towards the bigger flowers. But the scent is a must also thats for sure a keeper.
Very nice that you have so many this time of year I have a few blooming and more coming but this time of year they are very slow coming. I also notice that they don't have the strong scent like they did with the heat. It is suppose to get down to 40's here will that hurt my seedlings? Our first cold weather for the season won't last long but still have not put up my green house yet. This might be the weekend to do it thanks Dana
Clare - Your plumerias are gorgeous!!! I live in SW Florida - Cape Coral and have just started growing plumerias, I love the smell. I have planted 2 at the back of my house right outside the guest bedroom window so the breeze will bring the smell into the guest bedroom. It is great! I am getting ready to plant one under my kitchen window so I will be able to enjoy the smell in the kitchen. The ones outside the guest bedroom are yellow and one is pink. My lawn service brought me a white one from another house where they cut the grass. I do have a question after all this - how do you keep them from bending over. I have mine staked, but they still want to lean over on the ground.
Hey, Tmdevers! Thanks! I stake some of mine too with bamboo or plastic stakes that I get from Home Depot. Sometimes trees get top-heavy when the trunks are still fairly thin. As the trunks develop and thicken, a stake won't be needed anymore.
Clare I have a question for you please the grafted verigated I recived I think it was in August I told you it was in poor health. The scion died dryed up and died the bottom of the graft is still alive I took it apart looking for bugs didn't find any never posted a picture of it never was worth taking a picture of. What would have caused this? I'm going to contact the seller see If they will replace it. Sorry to hear your not going to be on here any more you will surely be missed by many. And we will surely miss the pictures I always look for ward to those. Dana
Hi Dana, that happens sometimes from stress, lack of water, etc. The dehydration probably started on the trip over from Thailand. Perhaps the graft union never really took well. I would definitely see if the seller will replace it.
Thanks for the kind words. I'll get here when I can;-)
Just wanted to tell you all that I saw a small ring at Lowes here and it had Hens and Chicks in it at the cactus section of the garden center, they made them look like Christmas Wreaths.. I did not get one however, if I come home with one more plant, a divorce might be in site..lol.. just kidding, I dont' have anymore room in the house. YET!
A.
That's good to know! Thanks, Antoinette!
