I'd also hire someone to saw down the billboard, as soon as it gets put up.

I wish they'd post some pictures, before and after.

According to a recent newspaper article, at the University of Alabama some condominiums were erected near the football stadium. A whole row of live oaks mysteriously began to die that coincidentally were blocking the view of the stadium that people could see into from the upper levels. It turned out that there had been holes bored into the bases and they had been poisoned.

Hey, I don't see anything in the company's PR page "recent press releases" about this news:

This happened not too far from me. Unfortunately, many old trees along that highway have been cut down or are dying due to development. More than likely it's a billboard trying to lure tourist to the beaches.

There are companies that transplant really big trees. I would demand that they be replaced.

Bluffton, SC(Zone 9a)

I would be suing big time. Around here there are laws about live oaks, they move new roads around large live oaks.

my hubby is a demo superintendant, and if they accidently damage a tree, they have to replace them, with the same species and size. 3 yrs ago they damage 2 old crepe myrtle, cost thousands to replace

Billboards are "litter on a stick". There is no way to replace those old oaks in the owner's lifetime. If only we could have more liveoaks and less billboards.
