I pulled up my humungous Milky Way MG plant only about a week and a half ago and already I have about 8 volunteers coming up again! I have a rooted cutting in the front window that has is putting out flowers and growing up thru the shutters. Will it continue to bloom and grow thru the winter months? I was wondering if I should dig up these seedlings and try to save them for next spring or just dig them under? I don't want too many cuz I am going to try quite a few other varieties of MG next spring Does anyone need or want some of these seedlings?

Is your cutting just in water? If so, it will probably not survive the winter. If you plant it in a pot it will, and if you keep it in a sunny window or grow light it will bloom all winter. Then you will have lots of seeds for spring.
yes Beth, the cutting is just in water. I was actually amazed it rooted! So, now it goes in the pot for the winter. Thanks very much for the info. Can I do the same for the seedlings outside? Will they bloom any sooner than if I just start my seeds in the spring?
With enough light they will bloom all winter, just in your regular home temperature. You just need to ask yourself if you want that many milky ways invading your house! It might be more fun to grow a variety.
