This is an easy visit..........only my 35 year old son and his girlfriend........i have only met her once about 5 months ago...............but my son knows her family well. I just have to not worry about my 'cooking' as she is a chef at a 5* restaurant. (LOL)
Her parents are much younger than I am............she is the oldest in her family and my son is the youngest of mine.............
Sept. Bingo Page 5
Give her a chili dog and tell her you thought she might enjoy eating some less fussy food for a change.

LOL...that is funny Diane! I am sure your cooking will be wonderful Gail. If she is like me...any time SOMEONE ELSE cooks...it is GREAT! LOL
So many of us only need one more...me included. Will be so much fun to see how the winners stack up. Oh..the suspense.
Hey! If she's a Chef at a ***** 5 Star ***** Restaurant I'd let her do the cooking! Unless it's that fancy kinda cooking with food that has different sauces over everything. The only sauce I want on my food is regular ole' southern gravy! :)
edited to say: You know I'm just kidding Gail. I am one who doesn't like to cook. I do it because I have to. I am just very fortunate that my hubby is easy to please and doesn't like fancy foods. My youngest sister is an Awesome cook and she loves doing it .... she used to entertain a lot with formal dinners. Now that her daughter is away in college and her husband is gone ( not dead gone, she is going through a divorce) she doesn't cook at home much anymore. But, she is in charge of hospitality at her church and does lunches and dinners sometimes for 250 people!! She is in her element doing that! Me .... I would rather do the clean up anytime if someone else would do the cooking!

I dated a chef years ago... He cooked 6 mights a week, so if I wanted to eat his cooking I went to the restaurant! Like Janet said, any food she doesn't have to take from start to finish will taste wonderful to her. But I can relate, because I know how intimidated I was the first couple of times I cooked for him! I did learn some things about sauteeing and making sauces, though...
Keep the menu simple and do-ahead-able so you can enjoy your visitors!
I need 2 more here also... how many are left? I haven't looked. Probably 2, LOL.
Bribes... hmmm, what would work.... it's cooling down enough to start baking again...
I think there are 5 calls left.
Thanks lin,I was wondering how many calls were left..This is so exciting! It seems to always come down to just a few calls left...the suspense is building.. : )
Is the second question is 7. Patti

I hate those big plates with a tablespoon of potatoes with sauce dribbled around the edges and a carrot stick in the middle of the tater. You could starve on a meal that cost you $100.00 bucks.
DArn still needing one more.

Happy Belated Birthday to you Moretz.I was on here for a bit yesterday morning before your birthday wishes were posted .I really do need to try and find more time to get on here... and learn to reread the entire thread when I do get on so I get updated on everything.
Praying for all of our dg friends in poor health.Hope you all are feeling better soon !!
Has anyone heard anymore on Jannich?
Great deals! I'll bet the frog spitter is cute! Hmm, maybe I need to head over to Lowes here this week...
I hope your knee heals up soon! I've been dealing with migraines the past several days, so I haven't been out enjoying the sunshine as I'd like... but I think it's finally resolving. Yea! Meanwhile, the kitties are keeping me amused. DH is in Kazakhstan until next week. I think the business part of his trip is going well, but the logistics have been rough, from a tiresome flight to no hot water and computer connection problems where they're staying.
Wow, your water garden is going to be seriously stylin'!
Wow, Moretz ... Looks like you really got some nice stuff with your Birthday gift money! You will have to post some photo's of your garden and pond when it's all finished!
Critter: Glad you are getting over your migrane! Those types of headaches can be very bad. I have only experienced one migrane type headache in my life and I remember it well and hope to never experience it again! Wow, your husband is in Kazakhstan? What does he do for a living? That is a long way to travel for business ... and no hot water and computer connection problems - I bet he will be glad to get home!
Prayers going out for Jannich ... hope she is doing okay.
DH works for Lockheed-Martin, designing/programming/installing air traffic control systems. I should mention that he's been to K-stan before, and it's not generally such a "backward" sort of place... but the arrangements were all last minute this time, and there were no hotel rooms to be had. They'd just lost a domestic proposal, and several departments paid him the complement of arm wrestling for a week over who would get Jim on their project... so, suddenly he was going to Kazakhstan and having to renew his passport so he could get a visa (he was just shy of the 6 months remaining on his passport that's required)... the logistics got hairy even before he left!
I'm hoping to bounce back quickly and take advantage of the opportunity to get a bunch of things accomplished while he's away. We'll see how that goes! LOL
Wow ... what a small world! I do know of Lockheed-Martin! My husband has been teaching in Aviation for 32 years, at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University here in Daytona Beach! He teaches about Aircraft Turbine Engines and Systems but the University has many students studying in the ATC field!
LOL about getting stuff done when hubby is away! I sometimes wish mine would travel for a few days so I could accomplish more around here!
I hope you bounce back quickly from that migrane too!
Hi everyone. Sorry not to post for so long. Thought I shook that darn illness, but it came back pretty strong. :-p I think I'm really getting better this time, though. :o)
Critter, so sorry about the migraine. I get those too. My doctor had prescribed Topamax for me, but it killed my appetite so I didn't want to take it. (I was down to about 95 pounds for a little while) I switched to magnesium and it's really helped. I only get them once every couple of months now. I sure hope you feel better soon!
Happy belated birthday Moretz!
If I'm right I think I only need three more to Bingo. Keeping my fingers crossed!
~Melissa
I tried Topomax... there's a pretty long list of preventative meds that I've tried now.... most of them worked on the migraines but had side effects that I couldn't deal with (like an allergic reaction to the Topomax that gave me a week-long throat spasm). I'm a little frustrated, because the "silver lining" to giving up on the fertility treatments was supposed to be that now I could take a daily medication (none of which are pregnancy safe) and get rid of the migraines. Poo. But this too shall pass. I got a little planting done just before dark, and that made me feel much better! :-)
I hope we'll get some good news about Jannich soon. I'm sorry Melissa and RG have been so sick... sure hope you'll all be better and visiting regularly with us again soon!!
95 pounds maybe I need to take some of that medication. I am kidding but it sure sounds tempting.
