The gathering..........Then heading home.

"The first thing I saw as I got to the beach" - Brown Pelican (right) and unidentifiable Cormorant (left), possibly Brandt's (slender bill, no visible yellow at base of bill, but that might just be the bad light).

"Sanderlings ?", "? also", "Twinkle toes" - Yep!

"Dble. Crested Cormorant" - possibly, or Brandt's, could be either.

"too" - this one is Double-crested (note stout bill with yellow base); with a subadult Heermann's Gull.

"Cormorant 3" - Double-crested

"Heermann's Gull ?" - Yep!

"The gathering" - Western Gull (1), Heermann's Gulls (4 ads, 1 immature), Double-crested Cormorant (1)

Thanks Resin.....................when I got home from the coast Lance was waiting for me on the front porch demanding some Corn Flakes ( no milk thank you).

He also likes the toasted bugs that fall out of our bug zapper.
