You'll have to get a picture of the hand feeding. Do you remember the title of the book?

My DH said he might try to get a pic because I tried with a 35mm camera, but couldn't feed him and get a pic at the same time. The least little movement , other than feeding him, and that Frog tame as he is, was gone.

The book is: Frogs,Toads, and Treefrogs ( a Complete Pet Owner's Manual ) Bartlett is the author and Barron's the publisher.

Thank you for the info.

This is Betty, she reigned over my ponds for 5 years (R.I.P. Betty) Betty would hang out in the water just out of my Yorkies reach, she LOVED to antagonize him! She also loved to wait just below the waters surface for some unsuspecting Sparrow to come for a drink GULP! She had a blast dining on my newly purchased expensive small fish :( Yes Betty was a huge pain, but we looked forward to seeing her everyday. I now have Leopard frogs, not friendly like Betty...but they don't eat the other pets either LOL!!
I won't ever have a Bull frog again...their appetites are huge...and yes it's amazing what they can fit in their mouths :(

Wow, Betty looks very well fed.

Wow! Betty was a big one. I keep a sharp eye on my bullfrogs and once they get too big and seem to be giving the fish that infamous "Frog Stare", I banish them to the river near us. When they are about four years old, they start with that. It pretty much is a size thing.

And then there are the Toads!!! They are worse than Frogs. I have a huge female toad living under the wood part of the gazebo and so far she is leaving the pond critters alone, but I am watching her closely. So far, I have removed 10 toads from around the pond and put them in a box and turned them loose along the river bank. Darn Toads were eating the Bullfrogs.Go figure. It's not easy is it trying to control nature;)))

OMG, I did not know that toads eat frogs!!! And I was letting the toads stay here with the frogs because I saw a snake eating a toad and I felt sorry for them...
But I like the frogs, I didnt have mosquitos anywhere around my yard all summer, That was great!!

Hey now don't get too excited about Toads eating Frogs you guys! It really is a size thing. My Frogs got eaten because the Toads were bigger than the Frogs. Maybe your Frogs are bigger than your Toads. I try to keep an eye on them there Toads because I want FROGS more than I want Toads if, that is, I can't have both!;))))))))))))))

ROFL!
Oh I am sooo confused by my own post:(
