9/23/07 Cross-Pollination: Gardeners Unite!

The event I've been working on for months is coming soon. I want to let everyone know since the attendees are just as important as the organizations that will be tabling. It's a participatory event.

Sunday, September 23, 2007
10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

UC Botanical Garden

Cross-Pollination: Gardeners Unite!

Instead of being a large showcase of demonstration landscapes,
Cross-Pollination brings gardeners and gardening organizations
together. Even folks who already belong to one society may find they
have an interest in another society. Clubs, community gardens, and
plant societies can talk about their missions and reach out to
potential new members in the lush surroundings of the UC Botanical
Garden. Bring garden magazines and books for the swap table. Bring
your fliers, business cards, etc. for networking with your fellow
plant-lovers.

Free with UCBG admission. Wheelchair accessible.

In a transparent attempt to bump this thread up before the event this Sunday, I'll add that San Francisco residents can get a free 2008 Gardening Calendar from the SF Public Utilities Commission. It's actually a pretty cool thing, full not only of the requisite plant pictures, but IPM (Integrated Pest Management), water-saving tips, timely reminders of what to do in the garden each month, etc.

You can order yours here:
