In the MG patch..

before the oldest Golden passed away, all three used to lay in a row, each one had their head on one and they made this long line in the kitchen..

Peekaboo! I have herds of them in my back yard this year along with anoles. Unfortunately good eating for black snakes and copperheads. My old friend Mr. Nasty is back this year. He's the cranky black snake that literally chases me out of my garden if I'm cramping his style. The copperheads just give me baleful stares and a raincheck to bite me later on.

Awww! What happened to his foot?

This poor dog, she's been sickly since birth almost.. she's had surgery, infections, injections in her joints, etc., etc., etc..... and she's got these absesses on top of her toes... (ALL the time), I have to soak her feet in Epsom salts and wrap it or she makes things worse. She's gotten to the point where she WANTS her bandages on and takes care of them..., I took her to the vet, but they don't know what is causing it, I think that they are ingrown toenails personally, but no-one seems to listen to me.. That's another story...

I was wondering because I just had to have 2 toenails permanently removed from my old girl. They grow curly and crooked and are hard to keep trimmed.

i think this is the same guy in this basket a photo from 9-1-07 .. he gets around.. what astonishes me is that he finds the same basket at night.. how do frogs know? Also, he doesn't take off when the dogs or I walk by, but as soon as DH gets home the frog hops away and hides.. do they recognize people/things etc.. I guess so.

There is a frog that comes inside the house at night thru the back door when it is open, goes around the couch on the tile, then back outside, it has it's little routine. I blame it on my daughter, she picked him up and kissed him on the nose, and now (her Prince Charming comes looking for her), anyway, that is what I tell her...How does it know where the back door is?? they must retain some type of information in there as far as location..

Beth, did they have to sedate your dog? I guess so huh.. did your dog take awhile to recover or did he even notice.. our older one got his foot stuck once and lost a nail that way, he did not even feel it, but I found blood spots, so that is how I found out.. it was yanked root and all, thank god, the vet said if it had broken in half, we would have had to have surgery..

I am seriously thinking about having them remove some of her toenails in the front legs only. She suffers too much.

OT...Yes, they did sedate her. It was a painful operation because they remove the first joint of the toe. But she recovered in a few weeks.
