Sunrise Sereade? Split Personality?

The seeds were labeled Sunrise Serenade but they sure look like Split Personality to me!

I always get a variation in the amount of "feathering" on Sunrise Serenade. As the plant matures it seems to get more feathered blooms. I also grow the Split Personality and it doesn't have the outer feathers like your bloom is displaying. Some of the Split Personality just looks like a regular purpurea.

I`m seeing all three kinds of variations on all the hige types. On 6 different hige type vines I`m seeing almost single but still a bit ruffly, split petal, semi double and fully double and shredded all on the same plant.

That picture looks like a pink hige. It`s pretty too. Keep watching and you will see almost single but ruffly, semi double and nicely feathered shredded blooms all on the vine vine.

In looking back at some pictures I took earlier, I recall this one did have a feathered bloom, I photographed the bud, but it rained the next day when it opened and it was a gooey mess.

The REALLY feathered ones look like little pom-poms and are small blooms. Then there are the ones that aren't feathered much at all. I like the ones "in-between" the best. You will be happy to have the single ones, though, because they seem to be the ones that set seeds the easiest.

I like the way the sepals curl over the top.

Lol .. my vision still isn't 100% I tortured my cat this morning trying to pick off a flea that was actually one of the blood clots in my eyes. It wasn't until I closed 1 eye that I realized it.

Sigh .. details .. I miss seeing details .. soon though.
