I have, what I believe thrips, on my plants. First, I thought these were some kind of predators keeping the spider mite under control, but I am no longer sure. All I can say they are somewhat triangular in shape, light green and move sideways (diagonally) like pond-skaters? Do thrips do that move sideways? I may have to take a photo, but there are so tiny and I decided to spray to be on the safe side...These thrips are on may dahlias...

CLOSED: Thrips
Martin,
Here's an informative link for you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thrips
They don't appear to be thrips.
Thanks for the link, the ones I have seen here are green, but I thought for a while that they feed on mites, which Wikipedia seems to confirm, but I have never actually seen them do it...
