Just wanted to post a picture of my Morning Glory bush. I've already trimmed it back and you can see how leggy it has gotten again. I will prune it back severely in a couple months but I can't bear to cut off the blooms and buds right now. It puts on a show like this almost every morning.

Just want to say How nice that looks.. great flowers.

Janice - I love your MG bush! I can't get over it! I had no idea that there were cultivars that were bush form! Some strong branches/vines you have there!!! Blooms are delightful!!!
Thanks,
It's really easy to grow and doesn't need much care except pruning back when it gets leggy.
I have some cuttings I just rooted in water and are moving to pots. If you'd like one for postage, just D-mail me.
Janice - That's so very nice of you! I have terrible luck with plant transplants! (Believe me when I say that!) IF you should get some seeds from this bush, I'd love to do a trade! I am enjoying your thread! You just taught me something new ..... MGs come in bush form! Thank you! :-)
I did get a few last year but haven't seen any this year but I'll keep an eye out.
Jan,
Your Morning Glory Bush is spectacular!!!! Will they only grow in the far south? I would love to try one. Wow, I too had never heard of a MG bush.
Beckygardener, I have so I was growing them on my chain link fence and planting too many close together and they became top heavy in mid-summer and I just gave up trying. I only grew the Heavenly Blue that I purchased from Walmart.
I love your set up too, so I am going to try again next year--you have inspired me!!
And I still cannot get over the beauty also of the MG Bush. I am thinking they have to grow in Florida or Texas.
This is my first time on this Forum and I am loving the pictures. I did not know there were so many--and some of the Japanese ones are spectacular.
Welcome, Betty! I am also relatively new to MGs. Just this year and I am hooked! I haven't seen one I didn't like yet! LOL! And it is addicting..... so be warned! I do so love this bush! A BUSH of MGs! Who'd have thought......! :-)
Hi Beckygardener,
I just looked at your pictures again, and I cannot believe you are new to growing MG.
Do I go to Plantfiles to find vendors that sell the ones I like? I am so new to this, and I have no clue where to start looking for MG.
I purchased my first seed packets from Wally World in the Spring. And then got some in a Butterfly and Hummingbird nectar seed swap. Watch as the growing season ends, you will see more folks doing seed trades. D-mail me if you can't find any by November. I will share seeds of a few of mine IF mine produce enough seeds. :-)
