interesting looking insect...feels like a locust when holding it...almost seems like a small bird or animal vs insect
my daughter loves them & was holding this one after i freed it from a spider's web

That appears to be a Dogday Harvestfly- Tibicen canicularis. It's a type of Cicadas.
