My first buds!!

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

Sidney gave me a cutting of one of her Brugs (I can't remember the name). I know I'll have to wait until it blooms to figure out the name, but I am sooooo excited!

Awesome!!! Now, after seeing your very first bloom in person, and smell it, you'll be addicted like the rest of us here. :)

I can't wait! A lady about a mile from me has tons of them blooming in her garden. They're so beautiful!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

You will get a lot of enjoyment out of her. They are such pretty flowers that it doesn't matter if we sometimes lose names and have no chance of ID. We just enjoy them.

Great pictures! Thanks, you answered a question for me. I am so excited too, because 3 weeks ago I received my first brugs, Painted Lady and KBS. My PL has three buds on her already and I didn't know how long it would take for them to bloom, but now I know it takes a little over two weeks. I thought it would be longer. I have become addicted to brugs through DG and just had to have some.

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

Does anyone know the name of mine?

Bluffton, SC(Zone 9a)

sigh... THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bluffton, SC(Zone 9a)

hmmm idk. maybe you could start an ID thread in the brug forum, and get some of the experts' opinions

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

My Sharona, can you search back through your d-mail and find a name? Or d-mail Sidney? It reminds me of insignis- but I've never had that one. CONGRATS, your bloom is just gorgeous! TL, I didn't realize you've had this for 3 years, my what patience you have! I think we need to drink champagne (or sparkling grape juice, TL's a minor, ya know) or something! I really enjoy all the anticipation and excitement of 1st timers 1st buds and blooms. I love everything about brugmansia. Except they aren't hardy at my house. But it's still worth all the digging, lugging, feeding, spraying, watering and worrying...

Bluffton, SC(Zone 9a)

that is what i say about plumies! i think i mentioned that to you on the other thread. then i think i said 2 1/2, but now its more like 3. still awaiting my first plumeria blooms. in Nov. it will be my second yr with that one.

Bluffton, SC(Zone 9a)

tada!!!!!

Gorgeous!! Looks at all the buds you have! I'm so envious...I have only 2 more buds.

Bluffton, SC(Zone 9a)

oh that will be taken care of soon i think if you give it a bunch of fertilizer and water!
