Sidney gave me a cutting of one of her Brugs (I can't remember the name). I know I'll have to wait until it blooms to figure out the name, but I am sooooo excited!
My first buds!!
Awesome!!! Now, after seeing your very first bloom in person, and smell it, you'll be addicted like the rest of us here. :)
I can't wait! A lady about a mile from me has tons of them blooming in her garden. They're so beautiful!
You will get a lot of enjoyment out of her. They are such pretty flowers that it doesn't matter if we sometimes lose names and have no chance of ID. We just enjoy them.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!! HOW EXCITING!!
I remember the excitement of the first buds! You'll love them whatever they are! Be sure to check out the fragrance at night. It's addicting!
Good luck,
Bonnie
Congrats, MySharona!!!!!!! This is the most incredible experience, EVER!!
Great pictures! Thanks, you answered a question for me. I am so excited too, because 3 weeks ago I received my first brugs, Painted Lady and KBS. My PL has three buds on her already and I didn't know how long it would take for them to bloom, but now I know it takes a little over two weeks. I thought it would be longer. I have become addicted to brugs through DG and just had to have some.
those picturesare great! mine looks like it will be tonight or tomorrow!!
This your first Brugmansia? I am happy for you anyway you will enjoy its frangrance when it blooms........

It should open for you this evening! Exciting, isn't it?
i think that they should start to open maybe by tonight
woo hoo!how about color and scent? when will that come?
As it opens it should color up and when it's fully opened that's when you'll be blasted with the scent. Sounds like this will most definitely be exciting for you since you've no clue what color it is!

Mine looked like that last night! I'm so excited!
soooooo, now i guessing it is impossible to guess @ the color?
yep. :)
Does anyone know the name of mine?
sigh... THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hmmm idk. maybe you could start an ID thread in the brug forum, and get some of the experts' opinions
My Sharona, can you search back through your d-mail and find a name? Or d-mail Sidney? It reminds me of insignis- but I've never had that one. CONGRATS, your bloom is just gorgeous! TL, I didn't realize you've had this for 3 years, my what patience you have! I think we need to drink champagne (or sparkling grape juice, TL's a minor, ya know) or something! I really enjoy all the anticipation and excitement of 1st timers 1st buds and blooms. I love everything about brugmansia. Except they aren't hardy at my house. But it's still worth all the digging, lugging, feeding, spraying, watering and worrying...
that is what i say about plumies! i think i mentioned that to you on the other thread. then i think i said 2 1/2, but now its more like 3. still awaiting my first plumeria blooms. in Nov. it will be my second yr with that one.
Gorgeous!! Looks at all the buds you have! I'm so envious...I have only 2 more buds.
oh that will be taken care of soon i think if you give it a bunch of fertilizer and water!
