Janet no it isn't but I posted its picture on the canna forum and no one said anything about it. I raised it from a seed and am really proud of it.

See, that's the problem with having so many specialized forums....we are all spread too thin and can'e see everything, and some of the forums are barely used and people fell neglected when they post and no one responds.
I guess we are all going to have run into the AV forum and say go look at ?
3G, I couldn't agree more! It's one thing when a topic starts completely dominating an active forum... then, it's a good idea to split that topic off into its own forum. But most of the requests for new forums for a specific type of plant seem to be based more on the idea that this plant is so wonderful that it "deserves" its own forum. I'd rather have forums that are a bit broader in topic, because I think threads on particular plants get a lot more interest and responses that way.
Of course, I might feel differently if I only liked 3 kinds of plants... but I'm interested in all of them! I just can't possibly keep track of dozens of different forums. I'm glad this forum is still AVs and Gesnariads rather than splitting up into an AV forum and a Strep forum and a Chirita forum etc.
However, I think most of the regional forums (like where Susan posted her gourd pics) get a fair amount of traffic. And I did notice that there were over 60 views of the thread... it's just that nobody took a moment to respond and say, "Thanks! Cool pics!"
