CLOSED: What type of flatworm or planarian is this?

Dover, NJ

Hello all,

I can remember seeing these as a kid, but haven't seen one in years. I think it is some type of planarian or flatworm. It is land-dwelling. It's about 8 or 9 inches long when fully stretched out. I couldn't see any eyes or eyespots, but I didn't really get that close. These are interesting, but really kind of disgusting too!

Thanks!

Here's a close-up of the head. There are 2 stripes running down the length of the body.

OK, I solved my own thread. I went to the bug files right after posting this, and entered planarian.

This is the Hammerhead Planarian.
