CLOSED: what moth is this - never seen one like it before!

Brooksville, FL(Zone 9a)

This moth is about 2 - 21/2 inches long and the colors are a STRIKING black and white design. I've never seen one like it. I found it resting during the day on some of my plants. Can you tell me what it is?

thanks!

I've never seen one like that before, either. It's very cool though. I had a shower curtain that looked like that once !

I hope it doesn't turn out to be a menacing type of moth for your plants.

VERY COOL - THANKS MUCH! I've never seen one before - I wonder if they're common in this area? I'll have to check the UFIAS site and see.

Thanks again!
