Makshi, nice bloom.

do you have any ideas on an easy way to clean the seeds for saving? I seem to be ruining as many as I save.

Are you letting the pod get brown and dry? If so they are easy to save. Just break them open and all the little seeds will be right there.

I have been having trouble getting the last tan covering off. Isn't the seed itself brown or black?

dylancgc - Can you post a closeup of what you are harvesting especially seeds that look ripe to you with the last membrane still attached(?)...

It sounds like the seeds are still too moist and you need to allow them to dry out further...when the seeds dry out completely >they will shrink somewhat in size and the shell will become harder...once the seedcoat is sufficiently hardened you won't damage the seeds by proper cleaning...

Mine look like the last picture, the ones on the right. I will wait a while for more drying. Thanks for the pictures.

Don't pick the seeds too early, or the they won't be mature enough! Wait until the seed pod looks brown and completely dry.

My vine was all dried up and has been for about 10 days. I will let the seed pods dry up some more before I try again. I cut my fingernails today also so I'm sure that will help to keep from splitting the seeds.

The seeds should just fall out when the seed pod is opened.

I'll wait several days before I try again.
