As I was walking up towards the house last night... I came across this web.... (luckily I didn't run into it). It was lower to the ground. Looks like the same type as the previous one I just posted. This one came out of a catabu (spelling??) worm tree... He also had a beautiful web... and this morning went out to check... the web is totally gone... How do they do that??? It's gone.. No trace whatsoever of any web... but I am sure he will be back tonite. Any ideas of what these are??? And are they dangerous???
CLOSED: A different spider, but appears to be the same species!!!!
Here's a bunch of orb weaver spider pictures. It's hard to tell which one yours is from the photo, but maybe you can tell since you saw it.... They are not dangerous. The only way you would ever get bit was if you tried to handle it and it felt endangered. But it's not poisonous anyway. Might make an itchy bite....
They eat their web and then rebuild new ones.
