This was seen on the front porch of a friend in Locust Grove, Georgia. It looks like a moth to me. The closest thing I could find to it is a Sphinx Moth. It is really "bugging" me, pun intended. lol :)

It might be a Walnut Sphinx, Laothoe juglandis
