It's beginning to look a lot like the tropics (part 3)

In the 3 year project garden .....where you are going to visit! lucky you ...it is heavenly and no snakes! I think ours are out already I have spotted my first Blue tongue this morning usually when they are out so are the red bellied blacks....darn too soon.....makes it a bit scary to go some places in my garden....oh well....better haul out the big gumboots ....so feminine ha ha ha...I usually stagger inside after one of these trips with foliage and bugs in my hair.
ha ha ha speaking of bugs look I know things are bigger and better in Texas but a 50 ft web?????

Whow! You are a braver man than I Gunga Chrissy! There is NO way I would be working in a garden with critters like that around...no ....no....nope not me! You have just won my DH's heart though... Oh yes, Carols gorgeous property.....incredible isn't it? We are all still looking forward to your pics...and I see that you are getting the hang of it very well! Thanks for the reminder about the spider web.....I want to check that out!

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Willis point Texas, just now watched the spider web on the news, over 300ft long and the spider they showed was a weavers web spider,I go thru dozens of spider webs every morning, touring the garden in the dark, before heading to work, you know it's the little siders you can't hardly see that seem to end up biting me!!!

Big change coming in the weather according to MSN weather report, temps could fall in the mid to low 40's by the end of next week!!!! So the leaves will be on the color change mode
here shortly!

Shari how did you print the musical notes,I see that on my keyboard in the upper right hand corner, but when I click or push it the volume board comes up?

Rio Rico, AZ(Zone 8a)

Go to your start menu....All Programs....Accessories....system tools....character map. Have fun!

Yes about those prettys.... it must be some fancy thing ...very cute!
Wow the web is that big TM.....must be something else! I guess you must have a lot to do if bad weather is coming...we get big hail in Summer storms it knocks the plants around pretty badly sometimes........wish I could see your leaves when they turn....however my peach ...apricot and plums...crabs and quince are all opening up now so I am lucky....it is lovely ...last Spring ...no blossoms much due to the heat
Shari I got that pic of the lizard off our gov site these blue tongues look scary but they are placid and eat the snakes so that means he is my friend...it just gives you a fright if he comes into view out of the corner of your eye because he looks like a snake......he is just a big old lizard

Rio Rico, AZ(Zone 8a)

Oh! Well in that case, I'd probably really like him. We have lots of lizards and geckos in our garden...the geckos "talk" to us ....they click. I like lizards a lot...baby dragons every one of em!

Did ya find it Don?

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

7>NH&57>NH&5
Yes but it doesn't paste what I copied?
This was suppose to be in Japanese!

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Speaking of Creckos, the little green guy on the car insurance commercials, does he have a English or Aussie Sound?

Rio Rico, AZ(Zone 8a)

The DG font probably doesn't support the Japanese characters.....try something else.

Rio Rico, AZ(Zone 8a)

Sorry Don, we have one vote for each here.....

Unfortunately the gecko is english....probably from London area judging from his accent!

Chrissy, no way would I want to garden with some of your critters, better wear those wellies! My brother and his family live in Woolongong, they have moved into a flat overlooking the harbor - now I can visit! Didn't like the stories of the things they found in their garage and garden when they lived in a house!

TM, I sure hope your dream comes true. If you ever get as far as Maui you have a bed waiting! Someone who works so hard at tropical plants in your climate MUST come to see them in their natural surroundings...the heavenly road to Hana or Carol's area, beautiful!
Loved the photo of you and the missus...nice to see what you all look like. A very handsome couple!

How about posting picts of all the members of our family here at Tropical Gardening? Braveheart already did his bit....

Warmest Aloha to all....

Rio Rico, AZ(Zone 8a)

Goodness, Chrissy. Oz is beautiful. Actually a lot like Texas. We have just about as many critters here as well. Maybe fewer snakes and they aren't quite as numerous where there are people. Everyone's pictures are great but most especially Pep. Watching the sun come up just now and it promises a great day.
