CLOSED: Seems to be a party!

Found these little guys on just one stem. There must have been over 100. Any ideas as to their name?

Two days later there were some with wings. But this picture isn't clear when I enlarged it. I'll get a better picture tomorrow.

Yes, those are wooly aphids. The wings confirm it. Mealybugs don't get wings. They look like the same species as my photo. Try insecticidal soap, or horticultural oil. Neem oil would probably work, too. And watch for any outbreaks elsewhere. Those wings are there for a purpose.

I found them in the forest. I think the birds have been doing a number on them.
