Digging up mahonia- difficult?

(I hope Debbie isn't offended by my attempt at humor)
I might want to move a ten+ yr old mahonia, just one, about five feet tall with around five stems from two to five feet.. Hard to move? And I wanted to put it by a new foundation, western facing so all AM shade then late day some sun.
OK? or bad idea?
