'Brad's White' aka 'FlyboyFl White'
Oh boy, Yes for me.. please send me your paypal addy.. Thank you so much, I left all of mine behind when we moved, so I'm starting over, although I've got two from K-mart this year.
Thank you Clare..
A.
I just saw this. taking care of it right away.
Clare, what are you going to do for us Canadians? This is not the only forum that I have a beef with regarding shipping to Canada. I would also like to have some hibiscus, but the shipping to Canada is always THE problem
Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Clare... thank you!!!
Sending you a dmail...
Karen
Okay, here is the official list so far:
1. Antoinette
2. Nery
3. Chantell
4. Dana's Plants
Flower_Mtl, mailing to other countries is difficult for me to do because of the Customs paperwork and having to wait in line at the post office. With Priority Mail and online postage and mail pick up, mailing within the U.S. is easier. My apologies. I would hope that you could get together with the other plumeria lovers there in Canada and exchange plumies.

Hey all! I am just packaging up my first box for someone that already sent me postage. These are too tall for the Priority Mail flat rate box, which means it will have to be regular Priority Mail postage so people should plan on sending $15. I'll know more once I weigh my first box.
way to go clare! i hope that you all are taking clare up on this generous offer.
Look at A. getting them from K-mart - must be nice...my Kmart nor Walmart wouldn't have a clue what one was...LOL
Count me in Clare and thank you SO very much...I know how much you "enjoy" shipping plants....very sweet of you!!
Oh you lucky people! I got a couple of Brad's White Plumies, but they both went to Plumie heaven. He sent me a couple of Teresa Wilders as well, and the smallest one survived!
The Brad's look devine! Good luck to everyone! Don't you just LOVE give-aways! ;-)
Oh CLare, I got some brugs this past week from a DGer and they cost 22.00 to send to me.. let me know if I need to send more.. I sure will and don't mind at all.. God Bless you for taking on this task.
A.
Thanks, Dete!
I've added Chantell and Dana's Plants to the list. LOL, Chantell! You know me very well.
Ah, Teresa, I am very sorry to exclude you, my friend. I'm glad that you at least have TW, which is one of my favorites. This 'Brad's White' was not easy to root, and some have taken a very long time to root. I had them all on heating pads all winter long. I sent out some cuttings last fall, but as it got later and colder, I knew it would be difficult to root them so I rooted them and am finally getting around to sending them out again.
Antoinette, no please don't send me anymore. Yours came to just under $15, but I sent you extra stuff so that will account for some of the weight. Some are cuttings from epi's that you sent me in a trade years ago! LOL! Shipping has gone up so much. It's a shame.
For those of you sending me postage today, I'm mailing out your boxes today.
Clare, my TW is doing very well and I hope to see an inflo soon! That would be a major treat.
FlowerMtl, shipping to Canada isn't that simple. You must aquire and pay for certain certificates which drives the cost up. We should do as Clare suggested and do a trade here in Canada. ;-)
Glad to hear that, Teresa. I bet it will bloom for you this summer and that you will get an inflo any time now. TW is a very reliable bloomer.
Okay, four boxes have gone out to Nery, Antoinette, Chantell, and Dana. Some are a little under $15 and some are a little over so it evens out. Thanks to those who sent a little extra to cover the PayPal fee. I appreciate that. Let me know when you get your plumies.
Clare - meant to ask....what is the scent like on these? Or maybe Brad can give us his take??
I had a small one bloom that I sent away. It was medium-strong sweet floral. I'll let you know for sure when my big one blooms. Brad describes it as vigorous. Maybe he will see this thread and pop up and say hi.
Clare,
You have dmail.
Barbara
Okay, I've got these people covered so far:
1. Antoinette
2. Nery
3. Chantell
4. Dana's Plants
5. Kamikid
6. BDunn
7. Kaperc
I probably have enough for 3 more people.

Teresa, we should definitely do something together!
At the moment, I have seeds from Maui Plumeria Gardens, which are now some fine looking seedlings! I have seedlings from the following varities:
India, EW #3, Carmen, and Donald Angus
However, before I do any trade, I would like to see the flowers first!

I should have asked this earlier. Does anyone know that, if I tape two Priority Mail flat boxes together, can I use the Flat Box Rate? I don't know if that is allowable or not. These cuttings are too tall for the regular Priority Mail flat boxes so I've been using regular boxes, but I am running out of boxes so I am going to start extending the Flat Rate box with another Flat Rate Box. Regular Priority Mail is about twice as expensive as the Flat Box Rate.
Clare you can tape them but the flat rate won't apply. I feel pretty sure they will charge you PM x wherever it's going.
Okay, thanks, Nery. I'll tape them and then just continue to use Priority Mail regular postage. I can't believe how much postage has gone up. It used to be $3.95 for a Flat box, and now it's $8.95 for one.
There was a discussion in the trading forum about Fedex Home being the cheaper alternative. You have to provide your own boxes, you have to set up an account so they will pick up at your home. I am going to look into it.
oh, I've seen you've been there. I thought it was good info about the fedex home

Hi Nery! Yes, I did a search, but I didn't read through that whole thread. I was just scanning for Priority Flat Boxes info and posted my question before I saw your answer. I may have to look into that too; although, I don't think I'm going to be shipping anything for quite a while after this! LOL!
Everyone, here is some info.:
1. The soil was shaken off of the root system, and there was some root loss so I suggest that everyone plant their cuttings back into one-gallon containers and water with Superthrive or Vitamin B-1 to lessen the transplant/transport shock, but if you don't have that, just replant and water well and put in full sun. You can remove some leaves, if you wish, if the bottom ones start to yellow or droop.
2. Potting soil got all over the leaves when I removed them from their pots and shook off the soil, and I didn't take the time to rinse them so don't be surprised if you do see some soil on and underneath the leaves. You can rinse them while you are watering in your new plumies.
3. I did cut some of the leaves off on some of them to get them to fit in the package so there will be some white sap bleeding that you might see. The leaf stubs will yellow and fall off in a few days, and new leaves will grow back right away. In other cases, the leaves were folded over to fit in the box, and they might be bent or broken. You can remove them if they look beat up. New leaves will spring forth as new roots fill the pot. I apologize for this, but I just didn't have many long boxes.
4. Remember that plumerias are very resilient trees and will bounce back quickly from this type of treatment.
5. A word about center cuts. They are ugly at first. Center cuts are the middle part of a branch which is rooted and which will sprout branches from the side leaf nodes. If there is a branch growing straight up near the tip, then that will be the eventual leader. In time, it won't be so obvious that it is a center cut, and the branches will hide the initial cut. If you don't like the way the center cut looks, wait until the side branches grow to 12" or more, then cut them off and start new plants with the cuttings, which are now single tip cuttings. For these center cuts, you'll probably want to wait until next summer to start new plants with the side growth. Everyone got at least two center cuts and two single tips, and a few got ones with multiple tips.
I can do just two more packages of four for $15 in postage.
I can do one additional package of short ones, which I can fit into a Priority Mail Flat Rate box for $9.

Thanks, Dana! I hope everyone will enjoy their new plants;-)
Dana dmailed me this morning to say that hers arrived already, and she's in Florida! That is good 2-day service. A few others should get theirs today. Feel free to post here and let me know that you got them. I can still send out 3 more packages on Monday.

Darn, Antoinette! I was hoping you would get yours today. Well, if it sits in the Post Office all day Sunday, at least it will be cool. The plumerias and other plants should be fine.
It will give me some time to get my pots ready..
Again, thank you so much Clare, I hate packing up plants too.. after a couple of years, you get burnt out.
A.
Amen, sister!!! I've found seeds to be so much easier...LOL

Clare my package arrived today also. They are beautiful, thank you so very much.
You are so welcome, Nery! I'm glad 2-day Priority Mail really is 2-day Priority Mail! LOL! Everyone else should get theirs on Monday.
clare~
Bless you. I am so happy to know that you've found homes for my orphans.
You're beautiful. Thank you.
I have unearthed a few photos going back to May 05. Understand -- this plant came as a dry mid-cut in a package I bought at a plant sale. It has proliferated. I now have a half-dozen of its offsprings -- and each fall I have to start cutting them back. (I have a small lot in Florida -- and my DDW still insists on being able to see something else.
Here is the remnant of the first cutting. The top broke off in a big storm, and provided my first offsprings. It won't gracefully die. The plant next to it is a later generation. Today these two plants are at least ten times larger.
Ah there you are Brad - would you share with us your take on its scent, please?
