Ok folks, the time has again come for us to gather in College Station. We have decided on a date of Saturday, November 10. Texas A&M has an away game that day, so there shouldn't be any traffic or hotel problems. If you would like to attend, please post here. We will probably try to get the same pavilion as before, but if so will need a system of payment since it is $350 to reserve it. Or if someone has another suggestion then by all means let us know!

Fall CS Roundup - Saturday, November 10, 2007 - HEAD COUNT
There will be 4 of us. :-)
There should be 4 of my crew!
possibly me
Count me in! :)
bump.....c'mon guys....
I'll be there!
I will be there..
Trishann
I'm sure that Amelia and myself will be there too, Kim.
Ok...that makes 17 so far!
Sorry Kim unless things change I will not be able to come.
But spring comes fast and who knows. No doubt if Dennis was here where we would be. Roadrunner sent me a picture and I was leaning on him and he was smiling at something someone said.
It was so good to see him have such a good time.
Thank you all again for that.
Blessings,
Sandy ^8^
Sandy - if you want to meet me in Houston - I'll drive the rest of the way! It would be fun!
Nancy
Dmail me where you live. That could possibly work out.
Thanks,
Sandy ^8^
Will do!
might be there
So far, I expect to be there!
Sounds great everyone. Have we decided where we are going to hold this and how we are paying for it if needed?
Does anyone know anything about Lake Bryan Park? There is a small admission fee to the park, but it has a lakeside pavilion that rents for $50 for groups of 50 or fewer or $100 for larger groups. The rental fee is the deposit. http://lakebryan.agnitek.com/Amenities/Lakeside+Pavilion
I am hoping we will be able to come to the RU, but I have been waiting to make sure before putting our names on the list.
That is an idea Pat. I have been out there many times, and I think that might be a good alternative. It is $5/car, and perhaps if we rent a pavilion we can bypass that. I can check on it. We'll also need to see if they have anything going on out there that day, somtimes they have concerts, boat shows and such.
:) Kim
That looks like a pretty place. The fee is quite a bit more reasonable, isn't it? Thanks for checking on it, Kim.
This sounds like fun too and it doesn't seem like it'd be tooo far of a drive... Depends on my work schedule though, so I can't say for sure.. carpooling would even be cool, after I find out for sure...I have a big car.
There should be at least 2 of us. trois
Oops wrong thread.
Won't be making the fall at CS, but hope you all will have a great time.

Ok....I was looking into other options for a pavilion, and A&M has a park with pavilions that would only be $20-30 to rent. I need to check on availability but would we possibly be interested in this?
Is our group smaller this fall? Maybe we could just bring snack food that doesn't need to be heated if we didn't want to rent the facility with the kitchen.
Unfortunately without renting the pavilion there is no way of knowing whether someone else will be using it that day. I don't think we can reserve one without paying for the whole deal. However, the hensel park one would be cheap....no kitchen but bbq pits.
$20-30 sounds great, Kim. Are there potties and a playground nearby? The playgrounds are optional, but the potties aren't. :-)
I agree, Marylyn! We just need a covered area in case it rains. We can bring food that doesn't need to be heated, or go out for lunch.
Ok guys.....I called and am waiting for the lady to call me back hopefully later today. Last week was just way too hectic. Here is the link for the park: http://scheduling.tamu.edu/hensel.shtml . If it is available Nov. 10 should I go ahead and make the reservation?
Kim
Go for it, Kim!
:~)
Please do! :-)
Bill and I should be there again, if he doesn't mind my dragging him along to something else. lol
Sounds good! Robert and I are hoping to make it as well.
Are there going to be any trades?
I agree - go for it, Kim! Thanks so much.
We traded last November - I would have some daylilies, I think. Seeds for sure.
Sounds great everyone. Unfortunately I have been swamped. This semester is more busy than usual, we've got 3 lab projects going on plus my research deadlines as well as a difficult class. I have not gotten a call back and hope to have time to try again tomorrow. I do apologize for the delay, I just haven't had much time to breathe and it doesn't look like much is coming any time soon.
:) Kim
That's ok, Kim - really! Good luck on all you are doing this semester. It will work out - I feel it!
Bill and I will be there. I may have some morning glory seeds left as well as datura and yellow canna seeds.
Anne
Please count me in for 3. Sounds like fun!
Ok everyone....I was finally able to get over to the office and get our reservation made today. We now officially have pavilion 2 in Hensel Park reserved for Saturday, Nov. 10. Shall I go ahead and make some trade and food threads?
