Boy I wouldn't have thought them to get that heavy, but now I know.

When my son bought his house he had a arrowhead plant growing around one of his trees. I thought it looked really neat, and commented on it. But the next spring I was down there it was gone, he said he didn't like it and pulled it out. But he liked it well enough to keep the one that I transplanted for him for a house plant. But just didn't want it growing around the tree.

Wow! Gosh, Jerry... I sincerely appreciate your offer to fiend off the critters I could possibly encounter on the climb... however, at this point our's is a rather "rocky" relationship; Squirrels and lizards, I'll contend with those on my own. The racoons...I fear by then, you will have the plants you want and I'd be left, clinging by a finger or toe, weilding off the masked marauders on my own. My voice would be my only defense "Git on outta here, racoon, YOU heard me, GIT!". Then there's the whole "stick" chasing thing... where would your "stick" be whilst your "helping" me? It's a trust issue, Jerry. That stick comment from another thread has me spooked, man.

AuntB, OH ha ha ha , like i would ever use a stick on a nice lady who loves big leaf EE's,NEVER I SAY! especially if she gave me a bowl of her home made soup! Jerry

Aw, shucks Jerry, I didn't really think ya had it in ya to be meany, let alone beating me with a stick..... Truce called. Loving BIG ears is what brought us all here isn't it? If I get anything you don't, I'm sure we can work out a trade in the future... The soup WAS deeelish! There are a couple gladware containers of it in the freezer for my college son, I could probably mail you one and it would be thawed and ready to reheat by the time it got down there! It's raining and cool today, now I want to make 5 alarm chili!

Miami, FL(Zone 10a)

You know, AuntB, if the 5 alarm chili has beans in it, you might be able to use it to get a "jet assist" to help you up the palm! Timing is everything, however, you don't want a misfire! Imagine the front page story in the local Miami newspaper; "Big Ear Fest ends in horrible fire and tragedy; lady trying to climb palm now in hospital with severely burnt rear end after premature detonation!"

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

LOL, LariAnn! My gosh, there's the YouTube filming as well, I'll be sure not the make the chili anytime in May 2008! I do like the "jet assist" feature of it, though! lol
