Last week the floral design forum had 181 posts this week only 68!
Are people losing interest here?

Dave's Garden newsletter
We're somewhere in the middle...which is a lot better than being at the bottom, right?
75 posts this week.
Hi Terri and Karma,
I love this forum and both of ya'll!!! I haven't been on it much lately cause all my flowers have turned brown and black from the heat. It has been too hot to go out. First the rain, now the heat. I pulled up my Zinnias and put in some Chrysanthemums. It is cooling off A LITTLE BIT the last couple of days but still too hot to work outside... Even my Dahlias are bad. I have nothing. Maybe a rose or 2. I still didn't get to do my teacup...
Carol
Oh lookie, we're down to 26 posts this week :(
Good job we posted then or they might remove the forum if the lack of input carries on!
Hi Yardqueen, nice to hear from you again. It's a shame when the summer is nearly over, my garden is looking quite bare now. I had quite a good few months using my own flowers , now it's back to shop bought ones.
This forum isn't only cut flowers,it is floral design.........florists don't use garden flowers, they use shop flowers.
Would they really remove the forum? We better get back to it then. Terri and anyone else who care, wanna set a goal? Say, 200 posts this week? Let's talk flowers!
Talk talk!
I wonder if we are near our target yet Karma?
There are some forums that don't do many posts at all. And they are still here. What are the rules for this?
Not sure terri. I'm trying my best tho.
117 this week. Not bad...
Not bad, maybe 10 done by others and the rest is down to us! No one else seems bothered Karma.
I'm starting up my own website!!
I like the Cut Flowers and Floral Design forum. I have posted when I can. I will try to do more. please don't go away....
Terri, what am I supposed to do when you leave? Get a real life? Everyone loves your creativity...I only have you...please don't go. Or if you do, leave me your URL so I can pack my bags as well.
Love, Karma
I don't want to leave ! I just want to be part of a group where people join in.
I'm just done reading this thread over again and....hahaha, such drama for our small group of 3.
Why don't we talk about exciting new things awaiting us? Like fall....beautiful foliage and jeweled tone flowers. Holidays like Halloween and Thanksgiving, where we can display our pumpkin arrangements and table centerpieces with candles. And then there's Christmas. Show off our garlands and wreaths, staircases and fireplaces, and most definitely our lit TREES! I positively want to hang around here for this. In spite of all this drama, I know I will be here for a while...even if there's just me. Monologues are good for something. Anyway, anyone else here want to add to the list of exciting things to come?
ok, I tried.... I guess three's a crowd
Yardqueen, you had better not go anywhere, ok? Three's not a crowd 3 is a group of friends! we must stick together
in all this high drama,it is better than a soap!
I don't know what the drama is about. I must have missed something. All I know is that I posted 3 times before either of you spoke to me. I felt a little ignored, sort of like I had somehow found myself in the middle of a private d-mail. And I have asked what this is about regarding the number of posts. I still don't know what that is about...
I do apologise Yardqueen for not speaking to you, this wasn't intentional. I can't speak for Karma, but I have put
so many posts here that have been totally ignored I guess I was feeling a bit fed up.
Regarding the posts, I was just highlighting the fact that they have gone way down and I don't really understand why.
When I joined the site about 6 weeks ago there were lots of people posting.
I don't know about the rules and I see some forums have only 15 or so! I doubt it will matter.
Anyway, can we just get on with flower arranging buisness now? will you show me your basket collection and I will show you mine!! once again sorry if you felt ignored.

That's ok... I know you didn't mean to but it did feel sort of funny... sort of like I was invisible...LOL I don't know what time it is where you are, but here it is amost 11:30 pm and I have to work tomorrow so I can't post pics of baskets now...LOL I have to get them off shelves and walls or you can't really tell what they are... If I took a picture of them as a group it would look like a trash pile... lol And I wouldn't want to bore you with plain ordinary ones... only the "special" ones.... I am anxious to see yours also!
Ohhh, that is pretty! Reminds me of a fan...
I didn't want you to feel upset going to bed, so sleep well!
I will sort my baskets out tomorrow, and get the cobwebs off, they are in the greenhouse.
I will find the unusual ones also.
Glad you like the flowers!
Terri,
I am not upset! My feelings were hurt so I reacted, but I am fine now!!! I must go to bed now, tho...Or I will not be fit for work tomorrow. I wish it was Friday....LOL
Oh no, I awoke to this! Carol, I had no idea...."The Drama" was me poking fun of Terri threatening to leave and we, as in you and I, were begging her to stay! I'm so sorry you felt ignored, it was not my intention. This thread was about increasing posts and participation and that can't be accomplished if we were purposely leaving you out. I'm glad terri was awake to send you a bouquet. I went to sleep without giving anything a second thought after my last post. Again, Carol, I'm sorry to hurt your feelings. I have to admit, though, this is more action than we have gotten since the get to know you thread!
Here are some flowers for you too Carol...sorry I had to reuse flowers.
OOOOHHHH, those are pretty too! Please don't feel bad about my "hurt feelings." I 'm afraid I reacted badly and regret saying anything.
You know it may take a while for people to notice this forum. I can't even remember how I came across it because I usually only visit forums on my favorites.
I wish brugs made good cut flowers....I have a lot of them right now! I have been posting them on the brug forum. They wilt as soon as cut though so they cannot be used as cut flowers.

Wow, those brugs are pretty! The color change is amazing. I don't think I've ever seen them in person. They're probably only sold at specialty nurseries? Are they difficult to maintain? I also like the little dewdrops poking through at the base of your yellow brug.
You must have better eyes than mine...LOL I have looked and looked but I can't find dewdrops! I did rain though but I can't see any sign of drops anywhere...LOL
Sorry, I was referring to the purple durantas you've planted there. My eyes aren't that good!
Thanks for showing us your flowers Yardqueen, I haven't tried growing those before. They look huge!
That is a lovely display of flowers Karma, like the folded leaf too!
Karma,
I never thought about the 'golden dewdrops' LOL
Terri,
They are huge! And tropical. Not hardy at all below zone 8 or 9. People in Northern states grow them and they are grown in Germany and many other countries, but they are grown in big pots there and brought in for winter. They usually have to cut them back, so they don't get to be huge trees like they do in California or Florida, or in their native habitat...South America. I love the flowers!
Here is one that I think is pretty also
Thanks Yardqueen, I am not a subscriber so I cannot see the big picture, would you be able to put your pictures
directly to our forum next time ? Please! Did you have many Cannas this year?
That is enormous Yardqueen! good idea to hold the flower, we can really see the size of it. Thankyou for showing your
beautiful flowers, its great.
Wowie YQ, that salmon one with those pointy petals are soooo COOL. I'm in zone 8b/9 so I should be good. I have got to look into getting some. Thanks.
Terri,
I didn't understand what you mean by not being able to enlarge it and if I post it directly onto this forum you can? The last ones are posted directly I think. If I know what you mean by "posting directly." Now the 1st one I posted I did wrongf and it will not enlarge but I did it again and the second time I did it right.
Hi Yardqueen, It was just the first one I couldn't enlarge, but it's fine now thanks again for showing us. I didn't
Know you could get the lovely pink frilly ones, I have only seen the creamy yellow ones before.
Shall we start a new thread for our basket collections?.
Do you have any ornamental grasses? Karma wants us to make an arrangement with some. I don't have much
and don't know what to make!!!
