These are all over the outside of my house. We live in the woods and they are here every year about this time until frost. Some are really BIG. This is the underside.

Thanks for the nudge in the right direction. I can't get the picture of his back to load right now, but looking at the Bug Guide he looks more like an Neoscona arabesa.
