Ouch!

Pineville, LA(Zone 8b)

Oh my, the second day of 4 hours in the garden. I have places hurting that I didn't know that I had!

That shovel, rake and hoe is making me sorry for laying around and eating bon bons this Winter, lol.

Blessings, Grits

I am so jealous!! I wish I could get out there and start getting dirty! I still have about 6 weeks to get things going.
Your so lucky!!

I wonder if all gardeners pants get tooooo tight in the winter! I had to change the pair of jeans I put on this morning... I thought if the button popped off it might kill somebody!

(Zone 6a)

I got outside yesterday and turned one small bed over and thought I was gonna die..

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

Poppysue, I know my jeans were tight because they shrunk from too many washings this winter...hahaha Lisa

Kalama, WA(Zone 8b)

Yes! Every winter my pants get too tight. I think it has something to do with the colder weather. Cold must shrink fabric. :) Joy

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

Yes Joy, that's it!!! Someone should invent fabric that doesn't shrink in cold weather! LOL! Lisa

For the first time in my life, my clothes didn't shrink over the winter....in fact I can't even wear any of them anymore. I have just lost 37 pounds since last July and I even went through the Xmas season. I was getting tired of bending over in my garden in the front, and giving the world a great view of my Large backend. Hopefully this year the neighbors will think that someone else has moved in. LOL

You guys are too funny!!!
We live next to a highway. When I'm out in the front yard bent over and I hear somebody driving up the road, I casually stand up to "stretch". I'm sure the neighbors think I have a permanent kink in my back.

Hi all - I gave up on the stretching routine re the rear end view, just go on and do my thing, lol.

If you had snow in the winter, you would stay in shape.

Just got done shoveling 24 in of snow off a 150 drive and a 24 x 48 ft ranch roof, Only 3 more roofs to do.

My tulips are under 8ft of snow..

Today I dug up 3 40 year old Nandina. I had to dig 5 feet wide and 5 feet deep to get the entire root ball out. Now that was some hard work.

It was only 70 degrees today, but it felt like it was 100.

I know I'll be aching tomorrow.

Way to go So-Cal! I have lost 22 pounds and have got the baggies too. Gosh, guess we'll have to go shopping for cute summer clothes to garden in :) I'm with Byron, my arms are sore from shoveling the sidewalk, twice (corner lot) and then stopping to play with my seven year old in a foot of snow. Mom's amazing ideas for sled ramps. It was so much fun. Gee Dave, its -14 degrees this morning - it feels just like -14 degrees, LOL!!!

Rise: hehehehe. :)

Sure enough - I am aching today.

Dave
