Lol everyone! I just turned 30 last month, so I guess I am having a little mini midlife crisis about the whole thing. I know I've still got time, but all of my friends are married and have kids that are already in school. And here I am....no prospects in sight. I think even my parents are starting to worry now, although not too much.

:) Kim

You are young, my friend...................my daughter has been in 3 weddings in the past year and the brides ranged in age from 36 to 39 on their first marriages..................

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

That does seem to be the thing for your generation...my DD that is expecting was married in June last year, and she is 32 years old, another friend just had her first child, married for a little over a year and she is 35 year old...I know girls(?) having babies in their forties! I have several neices ranging from 28-33 that are not married or even dating seriously, so you are certainly not alone. MOST don't do like we did in my generation...get married and be done having children by the time you are thirty...doesn't happen much anymore...BUT it is great being a young Grandmother...still enough energy to enjoy those babies! LOL

Here are my two darling Grandbabies, Carson is seven and Madison is six (going on 21) they are such bright lights in my life!

Have to go back for a sec and say I just love the collage! And Kim, I'm sure there's someone out there for you. Lots of my friends are mid-twenties to early thirties and still looking for the right one. I think everyone is right when they say that's just kind of the way it is with our generation. :o) If I meet any great College Station guys when I'm visiting that area I'll be sure to point 'em your way!

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

allgr8dogs you look just like my cousin, but with dark hair! She has the same great smile you have! Great new haircut too!

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

GD is Granddaughter, the best way to know if just to ask...lol A friend of mine thought lol was Lots of Love....hehehe, I liked that one too....

Kim, you are another Young thing! Also, remind me of a loved one...precious young woman that is my eldest daughter's best friend, she lives in Va. I haven't seen her in years! I need to make a road trip!

P....we CAN"T see your face...I will be going up to everyone in a white baseball cap asking if they are BIGRED...that may get me into trouble you know...LOL

JanetS I couldn't agree more that being a young grandma is a great advantage that comes from having been a child bride!! :0)))) LOL Married at 16 first child at 17 and 3 more by 24....I was a mother in law at 35 and a grandma for the first time at 38!! Now ten years later I've got the two newer grandbabies and can still do all the babysitting they need 3 or 4 days a week! And I love it!!!

On the other hand there is a lot to be said for the new generation waiting longer to marry and have kids, they have their careers down pat and have gained so much experience in life. I know my patience and experience in life now make me a very mellow grandma as opposed to the more perfectionist mom that I was!!

Here's a shot of my oldest DD with her two. She and her DH waited 8 years between kids!!

Beautiful! All of them! Brenda, I know you are getting alot of sugar from that baby and that young man is just about as pretty as they come!!! I bet he has a very special place in your heart as well! I know I am much more mellow as well, with the Grandchildren, but still pretty strict about their manners and all. I do love being a part of their lives! What a wonderful blessing!!!

Mid, ID(Zone 3b)

Oh Janet you are so right about that young man. My first grandchild and what I felt for that baby is way beyond words!! Of course I still love him to death and the other two also but it is not the overwhelming huge thing it was with that baby boy :)))) Also at the time and being only 38 years old he made me so baby hungry that it was a darn good thing I couldn't have anymore kids or I'd have my own 9 year old running around now! LOL I got over that by the time he was 3 months old and my DD was reminding me of the sleepless nights etc. Then I fell right into the grandma thing and knew why everyone says the best thing about it is being able to send them home when your tired!! LOL

Being a big part of and hugging and kissing on these babies is the highlight of my life. And what they feel of me in return well there just aren't words. I'm sure you can relate with those two little charmers of yours from above :))

My younger two kids say they're never having children but they're still young so we'll see...... Well I can't be partial so here is a recent picture of my oldest DS and his son.....

Look at all the great pictures! I love it! Keep them coming!

Hubby and I had such a great time in DC yesterday... we did not get home until after 10pm! I was so tired, I didn't even go near the computer last night! LOL! We took a total of 228 photos on our trip... with 164 of them dedicated to the gardens! I have photos to share with a number of forums, including this one! I will be setting up the threads this afternoon/evening... and I will provide links to all other threads from which ever one people are looking at, so they can see everything, if they wish.

I don't think I did it justice, but I tried to take as many photos as I could! I just love that place! I wish the conservatory was attached to my future home! I would never leave! LOL!

Good looking boys!! Your Son is quite handsome and that little one looks like he is quite the charmer too....thanks so much for sharing.

I was at my DD home today helping clean some things out and Madison said to me, can't you live with us? LOL the love they show me is just the most healing medicine one could ask for! They keep me young, that is for sure!
