Thanks guys, it was raining and icky in the morning, but the sun came out by mid afternoon and it was a lovely day the rest of the day. :)

I'm sorry about the hail. Hail is something that makes me cringe. We seem to get a lot of it these days. I remember when I was a kid it was kind of an oddity, it might happen once or twice a year, but lately it seems like every storm that rolls through has some really nasty hail with it.

Pixie yours is the tri-color oriental (Mojave perhaps?)

fleur_guy, you are correct, that's Mojave. It's one of my favorites that I bought about 4 years ago. I bought Rosy dawn at the same time and I would have to say it ranks right up there w/Mojave.

Moby your pic of 'Henry's Surprise' motivated me to order some from Buggy.
There is a similar one called 'Stunning' I flipped a coin and decided on 'Henry'

Pixie there a couple of varieties similar to 'Mojave' namely 'Girosa' and 'Arena'
I planted 'Girosa' but for some strange reason they didn't come up. It was late
spring and I was in a hurry (why?) and didn't mark where they were planted.
Maybe in the back of my mind i thought "they will come up next year" Now
I'm thinking "maybe not"

Also I received some 'Luminaries' which were already sprouted. Two out of
three came up. Think I'll stick to fall planting. Maybe some of my problems
stemmed from last minute decision to plant Lilies and not thinking through
the process. I don't think I will purchase bulbs from any source other than
the specialty bulb suppliers that actually grow the plants like Lily Garden etc.

Thanks Maxine!! That is beautiful! Don't worry about being late, I've been running late all my life. Heck, I'll probably end up being late for my own funeral. Any, FPP (fall planting panic) is just about to set in. I best be getting out side. August sure was a bust of a month.. Let's hope September will be much better!

Good question, grasshopper! I put in a lot of garden work at home today, so my brain is running on a test pattern right now. When you figure out who owes who what, let me know.
