CLOSED: No bug, just a "what's-this-gunk?" question

So there's no forum for "Garden Gunk," but figured maybe it might have something to do with some insect...but it would have to be a BIG insect...

Has anyone seen bright yellow...we're talking the color of a crayola crayon yellow...GUNK in their gardens? It's got the consistency of gunky mustard. Usually I find it in patches about and inch or so around...not in the same spots in my garden...just occasionally. It doesn't ever seem to be on leaves (as though it were dropped from a bird), but merely just like you took a mustard bottle and squeezed
it out on the ground.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Ew!! Looks like something sneezed. Haven't seen that around here, but we do have many things nearly as strange when the rains start . . .
