Seed pod question

U.P., MI(Zone 5a)

Hi Everyone,
I have many many pink and white morning glories (too many). I believe these might be called wild morning glory. I would like to share them with other people so if i just cut off the seed pods will that work. Do I need to dry them out completely and take out the seeds. Right now the pods are brown and papery each with a seed inside.
Thanks for your help,
Sue

As long as the pods are brown and papery, then the seeds are ready.

If they are calystegia sepium, not all the seedpods will have seeds. If you do find any, it will be just one per pod.
