Some August native blooms

Dublin, CA(Zone 9a)

Who said native plants only bloomed in the spring! My CA natives garden is actually one of the best looking parts of my garden right now, so I thought I'd share a few pics.

I love your color combinations!

Oooh, I love your Zauschnerias! I have Uvas Canyon and Cana (which I don't like), but must get some other colors now. Would really like the Ghostly Red. My Galvezia needs watering pretty regularly - does yours? Since the Zs would need water here, too, I could plant some nearby.

Thanks!

It's too early to tell yet on watering the Galvezia--since I just planted the whole bed last fall, I've been watering the whole native bed every 7-10 days depending on how warm it's been. So I'll have to wait and see how it does next year when I back off on the watering frequency.

I really love the white & pink Zauschnerias, I got them from Las Pilitas last year (now that I've seen how gorgeous they are, I may have to order a few more! I have a couple different orange & red ones too (don't remember which ones off the top of my head), but the pink & white ones started blooming much earlier, they've been blooming for at least a month, and the orange ones are just starting to put out buds now.
