Good on ya! Glad to hear you were spared.
Sending you a pic of a 30 year old Hoya, from Canada. My other home.
In Pass Christian, MS we are now awaiting our first tropical storm for 2007, this weekend.
Cheers

Thank God Carol!!!! I was truly worried about yall!!!!

Please be safe my friend!!!

We are really safe from tsunamis @ 900' altitude... But we did get another big earthquake in the middle of the night. Pele seems determined to be noticed and keeps waking us up!!!
All safe here...and we got plents of water!!!
Thanks all for your good wishes and prayers...
Carol
glad to here you're okay carol.
i think i've heard of that urban legend before. some years way back i had an observing run on mauna kea. as we're heading for the tucson airport my advisor tells me that two hurricanes are heading for hawi'i. one veered to the south and the other two the north while we were there at the telescope.
btw, i saw some of the best sunrises from that mtn! must be the moisture and the altitude.
The sunsets and sunrises are breathtaking here because of the Vog (Volcanic emissions)...just like a dessert with the dust. We just love them!!!
Glad to hear everything was ok for you! Now I am hoping Dean does the same for my home....I am actually not home right now but in NY doing some research, and I am hoping all is ok! I am remembering the panics of Katrina and Rita when I first moved to TX, that was a wakeup call for a northerner, believe me! I don't get back until the 26th, but my parents are keeping an eye out for me.
