Planting bulblets from the stems of hybrid lilies?

I had all these little bulblets on the stems of a hybrid lily, so i put them in some seed starting mix and they're rooting. Will they make flowers and how long till they get big enough to do so? Anyone ever tried this before?

I asked about this last year in the lily forum, but not about how long it would take to bloom. Lots of people who grow lilies plant the stem bulblets... I'm just guessing it would take two years (or more) to get to blooming size - mine don't get big enough to bloom in one year.

I planted some last year and they made nice foliage but no flowers this year. I am hoping for some to flower next year.
