Without all of your suggestions and advise, I probably would have just cut it up and cried...thanks again!
Croton distress
Shari, Have never used the cornmeal so I hope I steered you in the right direction. DirtDoctor products are everywhere in this area because he lives here.
Wonderful....so glad it has a new home! Great idea!
I love the old fashioned habit of using whatever you have as our great-grandparents did.....coffee cans, crisco cans, flour sacks....what ever was still available. The blue box is great.
We have this crew of Marshallese guys who go around the island in a big truck and pick up al the broken limbs, dropped coconuts etc. Several days ago they stopped by my house to pick up some limbs we had trimmed and set by the curb. It was a really hot day, so I offered them a soda, we got to talking and I asked if they would keep their eye out for a big container and I showed them the Croton. The next day one of them brought me that - he had even drilled the holes for me....really nice guys. Now we play the waiting game, to see if it gets better.
Well there you are ....you give out good Karma and it comes right back to you....Great news about your beloved plant....it sounds like you have done all the right things....so fingers crossed she will come back bigger and better than ever ! the dear little hibiscus smiling on all the frantic activities....and giving a floral nod of approval. Don't we love our lovelies? :)
Shari, can you get Superthrive there? It is a very small green bottle of vitamins and minerals. I give it to my daylilies if they are sick.....If you can get it it might help. It just taks a few drops to a gallon of water.
Nope...not here, but maybe I can order it. I'll check, thanks.
Shari...after visiting TBI, where the world revolves about growing things, you are going to have to hire and container to take back all the magic stuff/plants/pots etc. LOL
Carol
I'll be mailing back as much as possible, then get on the plane with arms loaded....oh I am so ready for this!!! ☺☺
TBI?
My guess is, The Big Island.......right?
Yes indeed! It gets tediious to say Hawaii all the time, and there is much more than just a volcano there to see so it is referred to as The Big Island, or TBI or TBIOH...Carol, what do you call it besides "home"?
Shari, while you are there, be sure to get JB to take alot of his gorgeous pictures so that we can see them, too, PleeeeeaSe?
I have a feeling the camera's will be in overdrive! Just looking at Carol's pics has made me nuts! Add to that getting to meet with Christi! This is gonna be one whooper vacation!
I'm getting all excited...
Christi
You! Oh, Sweetie....I need all those different sayings for "anticipation" that we were discussing in the "different sayings" thread, just to express how I'm looking forward to this. It's funny - cuz when we first starting talking about going home this year, it was with a sense of obligation, not really enjoyment. All changed now!!
