This invitation to upload pictures to Bug Files is in the Hummingbird and Butterfly Gardening forum, and the Garden Pests and Diseases forum has a similar one. Maybe it would help to have a similarly worded invitation in the Bug and Insect ID forum page. Just an idea.

I found this ant like creature while visiting the Philipines recently.it is about 40mm in length

That's a great picture. I see you have posted this in the ID forum too. Offhand I'd say it's a beetle, maybe a tiger beetle in the family Cerambycidae... probably someone there will have a better idea of what it is.
