I need a baby Empress Tree to maul.. I plant only native here dont worry it will never flower and it will never seed - ever. It will be for a classroom project. I could buy one this fall but with everyone on here I thought someone must have one growing like the weed they are they want to get rid of and this one would go to education..

If you can help let me know. Also interested in finding a Chinese Tallow, or any other trash tree to grow in a pot to a size for indoor classroom use only. These will never ever ever be outside but used in classroom demos on plants to not grow. I have the chance to run a school garden this year and I want to have an area the PTA can come to and learn a little - photos I have learned do little.

Go check on the ID forum--seems like someone posts one over there just about every week, there was just one there yesterday or the day before. But they've all been pretty tall already by the time people get around to posting them for ID so I'm not sure how well they'd transplant.

I have Chinese Tallows by the hundreds here. Do you need one now or in the fall?

fall if I can.. I know it is a bad thing but I want to make sure everything can really grow.

I have seen the huge ones in the ID forum.They would not take to the move I fear at that size.

I'll send you a Tallow seedling in the fall if you'll remind me then.

Luckily the Empress trees aren't a problem here, yet.

I wouldn't buy from a place that stays in business by selling invasive trees--better to get a spare seedling from someone who's had it spring up by accident!
