When my DH and I go to my inlaws' house in Fremont, we drive along Isherwood (after the Quarry Lakes Park), and I always see the tops of beautiful Brugs in someone's back yard. Seeing that there are a lot of people from the Bay Area here, anyone want to claim that back yard?
I always wondered which Brugs they had planted, as it seems they're always in bloom.
Isherwood backyard blooms?
They have been removed and a white pergola is now in it's stead. Maybe new owners. If you are ever in the area, I will show you some that are even bigger.
Well, that's a bummer!
Hey I just *might* take you up on your offer!
In the Mission District - Corner of Los Pinos & Honda - in the front yard

In the Irvington District - Fremont Blvd at Haven

I think some of them have been fed small children.
The coolest tree is the Monkey Hand Tree http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/66985/ - that you can probably see in bloom in late April/Early May at a little park in Niles at the bend in Montecito

WOW, thanks for all the info! I'm sure my DH knows these areas, as he's lived in Fremont most of his life.
