CLOSED: Bugs on new tree! what are they?!

Topeka, KS

I found Bug #1 on several leaves of my new Japanese Maple. They seem to be attached to the leaves. (There are no dead or discolored spots where they are attached) Bug #2 has been spotted on the tree and other locations (the biggest grouping seem to be on my hammock!) My main concern is "Will they harm my trees?!' (I have maple, oak, walnut, elm and pear)

#1 is a Lady bug / Ladybird Beetle pupa.

Pretty sure they're both Asian Lady Beetles, Harmonia axyridis

Maybe this species isn't so good?

Well, yeah... it's another USDA introduced 'oops'... they're no big deal as long as they're outdoors, and I haven't been bitten by one yet. But the real problem is they'll displace native ladybird beetles, yet they won't eat the range of native pests that the native ladybird beetles do eat. They won't hurt contemplation31's trees, at least.
