I love the different shapes!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Me to Beth. I was just out watering and trying to keep them from climbing all over one another and really took notice how different some of them are.

(Zone 7a)

And they have such different textures, too - some like a woolly sock and some like a salad green. New shoots sprouting from deer-denuded leaf axils are already beginning to bring back our vines' variously unique characters. Those plastic mesh deer fence materials are miraculous.

Nice to see photos of the different type of leaves...

Thanks Donna!

These are leaves that I made out of concrete for Ron, hopefully he'll like them. I still need to stain them. Do you guys recognize any??

Now, how in the world did you manage to do that? Did you make molds of the leaves first, or did you spread out the cement thin enough to cut around a leaf, etc?

I used the leaves off the plants, placed them face down and put concrete mix on top of the leaf veins.. take a look in the hypertufa forum we have here.. Great stuff there. I did these EE ears too for stepping stones.

That is where they were bagged, wrong photo... here is the pic of the EEs.. this one is with the leaf peeled off of it.

Very cool!

What are you going to do with the smaller leaves? Looks like you could hang them up?

I added the hooks to hang them.. also have some of the Elephant foot leaves.. you guys have got to try it. it is so easy.
