Funny order of tabs in my Garden Diary

Hmmm, is this a bug?
I have three tabs in my Garden Diary.

When I go to work on my own Garden Diary, it shows my three tabs in proper order (1,2,3.) But when I view my Garden Diary as another member would, it shows the tabs out of order (2,1,3).

I know how to change the order of tabs…but why does it look correct in my own view of the Diary…and look out of order in other people’s view of my diary? Thanks! :-)

The reason it shows up in the order it does when other people look at it is that it shows things in chronological order of when you updated the tabs. I'm not sure if you can change that in your settings or not. Once a person clicks on a tab to see the entries inside it, then the entries within each tab should show up in the order you've specified, but I don't think you can change the order in which the tabs themselves show up on that first screen.

Hi ecrane3, thanks. I've been all over all three tabs fiddling with them recently, but I'm trying to do a chronological tutorial (sort of) about building a greenhouse, so I was being fussy about how the tabs appeared to folks.

I'll try updating something on tab 2 and then tab 3 (and I'll stop messing with tab 1) to see if I can joggle things back into order that way. If not, that's OK. I also thought I'd try making a link at the end of each tab, to give folks a way to jump to the next chronological tab in the tutorial.

I'm new to all this diary stuff. I love the Journal feature, and I can see now the Diary feature is wonderful too!

Would you please explain to me how to change the order of my tabs??

I see the little arrows pointing up and down on the 'change tab' page but when I click on the arrow the tab moves randomly (as far as I can determine.)

(I want to put all the 'Butterfly gardening' tabs together, etc.)

What am I missing here?

I feel like this is a stupid question...but my problem solving doesn't seem to be working...

Mine does that too, there's a bug in it. It doesn't move totally randomly for me though--if I click the arrows I've noticed it usually moves it up or down 2 or 3 spots at a time, until it's the 2nd from top or 2nd from bottom and then it moves it just 1 spot. Definitely a bug, but if you're willing to spend some time playing with it you can probably get your tabs almost in the order you want.

It was making me crazy moving them up and down by two or three--I thought someone really had a 'strange' sense of how to 'organize' these pages!

Do you know if there has been any attempt to correct the bug? Thanks.

I have no idea--it's come up before because when you posted about it, it jogged my memory that someone else had asked about it before. But I'm not sure if it's hit Dave's radar screen yet in terms of something that's a priority to fix (this is only the 2nd time I've seen this come up in the few years I've been following this forum, so my guess is there are other things ahead of it on the list!)
