I managed to get four varieties in this frame-- Star Gazer, Black Beauty, Madame Butterfly (Mak) and the NOID that was supposed to be Mdm Butterfly.

Very pretty - they just glow in the evening light!

I like that four shot. Just beautiful!

Black Beauty is lovely!!! Does it get tall for you?

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

I actually thought those two would look a lot a like, but they don't at all, neither color, nor form. Both lovely in their own right.

Lisbon, IA(Zone 5a)

Mags, lovely lilies! :) How many more do you have that will bloom? Mine are mostly done except for the ones planted this spring. I'm a fan of peach. :) Aw, heck, I'm a fan of most any color. LOL

Western, WI(Zone 4a)

Me too Ticker, of the peach color, pink, white, oh heck any color.

Mags, especially like the Gloriana. Where did you purchase it?

Maxine

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

Got 'Gloriana' from the Lily Garden. I like it better than what is pictured in the catalog. Isn't it great when that happens??
I have a few yet to go. A lot blooming right now, some named, lots of NOIDS. That crazy Variegated 'Tropical' will be out soon. I can't wait to see what the flower looks like.
Question???
Do all virus in lilies affect both the foliage AND the flower? Or can it be one or the other and it still is the virus? And if not, would you determine getting rid of it if only the foliage looked freaky/virus like and the flower perfect?
( Nearing completion of my lily photo archive (that's why I have had so many to post this year, as I have been on an archive mission, forgive me ;) )

Lisbon, IA(Zone 5a)

Silly Mags, I love looking at all your pictures and everyone elses. :) Keep posting!

Mags, I don't know what to say about that virus. The one that I pulled and potted up to observe, now looks pretty good. Streaks aren't as pronounced.
I guess time will tell. Later this fall will have to put it in the ground some place where I don't have lilies. Wonder where that is??

Weeds are calling me, partially cloudy here sometimes.

Gorgeous! What's an NOID?

Chicago, IL(Zone 5b)

Wow, Elise and Gloriana are gorgeous. And love those night shots too. Very dramatic. My white speciosums started opening up today. This should go on for a while as there are about 100 blooms to go, and that's just from two bulbs planted last fall.

Hey Ottoburtgus, Welcome! :)
NOID stands for no identification- means you lost the tag, or never knew what it was

Western, WI(Zone 4a)

Finally figured out how to post pictures again. My computer went on the fritz and deleted a lot of stuff. Not a happy camper here. Will have to backup most things and then have someone erase everything and download it again.

Another one before I crash for the night. Guess I pulled two many weeds this afternoon.

Pretty, Maxine! Your 'Pink Heaven ' looks a lot darker than mine. Is your soil acidic? Mine is very alkaline.

Saint Bonifacius, MN(Zone 4a)

Maxine, you're pretty brave, using that "crash" word. Wouldn't want to give your PC any more ideas, you know.

Couldn't tell you as it is only sand amended with heavy red clay from the farm. I should clarify that and say most beds are. There are two lily beds that aren't. On I amended with rotten corn silage piled around 5" dp. and it sure did the job. Saved moisture and amended the soil.

Heres another one. "Sea Treasure T"

Max,
your lilies are beautiful!

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

My 'Sea Treasure' disappeared this year. I may replace it. It is such a special little lily. Don't you just love that one , Maxine?

Western, WI(Zone 4a)

Yep, sure do. You have some too that I adore also.

Ripon, WI(Zone 4a)

Mags, can you tell me where you got Elise? A good friend of mine has a grandaughter named Elise and she would absolutely love that lilly! Great pics everybody.

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

Sure, 'Elise' was purchased form the Pacific Northwest Lily Society's Fall Bulb Sale last year. I did remember that the Lily Nook is carrying it also. If you are in a lily society, they might have it too.

Ripon, WI(Zone 4a)

Thanks!

All these lucious lily pics make me want to rush out and order MORE. Looks like my shovel will be busy in October!
