CLOSED: Some butterflies to be identified.

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

I see this often in my garden. I'd like this beauty to be named.
Thanks.

I think #4 is the Common Evening Brown, Melanitis leda:

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Dinu the first 2 remind me of a Azure and/or Hairstreak

West Pottsgrove, PA(Zone 6b)

The first is Talicada nyseus or Red Pierrot

West Pottsgrove, PA(Zone 6b)

The second might be a Pale Grass Blue, Pseudozizeeria maha or Zizeeria maha.... not too sure about that one

The third is a moth, probably in the Family Geometridae, but I can't find it

Lincoln, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

The moth might prove difficult as there are 10,000 of them in India, this site gives a start to a work in progress. The blue Family links already have named moths included but no info as yet as far as I've looked.

Keep an eye on it, in a few years time you might find it!

The second one above when it is in flight, we can see a light blue upper portion of its wings. It is a small butterfly and can be judged by its size by the flower on which it is sitting.

Is this same as #2?

No Dinu, it's different as it has dark tips and doesn't have the small black marks.

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

Red Peirrot is right.

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

#4 is right, it is the Common Evening Brown.

Two solved, two to go!

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

Okay, leave the moth alone for later. I'm classifying my own database in my PC and I hope to have less items as "unidentified" or "miscellaneous". So I hope help in that small butterfly comes along soon.

Thanks.
Dinu
