What! NO herb afficianados this summer?

Deep East Texas, TX(Zone 8a)

Thank you ~ it is pretty! Long awaited and I almost missed it! We have a friend staying with us and I didn't get outside till leaving for work. Just happened to see it and it is a good thing ~ the blooms were closed by the time I got home. Should be the first of many...

Ooooh, pink!? It looks like a "Bull's Eye". That could be its common name. Nice bud, you got there. You are a proud potster, I bet. Fun way to end the growing season with exciting late bloomers.....

LOL, Brigidlily!! Did you kill the lavender before you found out what it was?

Pod, that is great. My hibiscus sabdariffa was less than stellar this year. We've already had frosts (although a magnificent string of weather after that) so definitely no blooms on it. :-(

Ooooh....she's lovely!
I hope that there are many more, just like her...and all of them hand pollinated and ripe w. seeds!
(insert huge grin, here:)

I have not even sampled a calyx ~ hovering like a buzzard for seeds... lol I am looking forward to being home all day and watching them. First full day of observation.

They are fascinating when they are opening...
