The flower arranger's toolbox

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 4a)

Wow that is cool, Terri! Are they expensive and can they re reused?

Hi Donna,
On the packet I have it says they last for two years. I have noticed if they are out of water after a few days they start to go small again. I put them back in the water and hey presto, back to normal size.
They were given to me as a christmas present, not sure of the price.
Nice to see you around again!

Neat new tool Terri!

Hi karma, I was lucky to get it, as it was the last one on the stall!

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

You are lucky to find on like that. I got 2 from a catalog but they are flat and the beads hang just outside the vase, not nearly as versatile as the one you display. I'll have to take a pic of it.

BTW, where do you purchase your rainbow oasis foam.

Sorry I missed this post..... Oasis sell the coloured foam. It takes much longer to soak up the water, usually about 20 minutes. It is fun to experiment with it, I have tried pink and yellow so far.
I used it here with yellow roses

Quite good for making an arrangement without foliage.

I found it online, but looks expensive and bulk purchases for flower shops. Still looking and Terri, I went to the bridal shop, had no idea about the pins so I visited another craft shop and they had some pearl ones, now are those that you used above clear crystal?

london England, United Kingdom

I think those are the clear crystal ones, I have some diamond ones too, which look the same on photos!

I use a 'lazy Suzy' it's very handy for sitting your container on when making arrangements!

It spins around so you can work on your arrangement without lifting it up to see the back.

I bet I know what you are working on. Can't wait to see it. Where do you get your oasis foam that is colored? I purchase what you have shown here of the floral foam that soaks in water, but no colored except online for florist shops.

london England, United Kingdom

I get it from the flower club stall, some florists sell it, but you don't see it very much.
I think it might be going out of fashion already!!! It takes so long to soak up the water unlike the green stuff.

Couple of frogs and some small oasis rounds. Oh and wire ribbon from the hand tie I won!

Lovely, would look good on our pool table, it is covered in purple felt. That would just set it off if I can shoot the balls around it as a trick!

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

OK...been reading the BOWDABRAH BOOK....this is gonna be a new thread! 18 pages to go....this is gonna be a project!

The big bow maker came with a pile of instructions for making different styles of bows....a CD and special wire they have.

When I get done taking a course in spanish, German and the other half dozen languages (not) the pamplet alone is in.. I will be back!

No bows today! Good thing I am not doing this for hire, they would go broke paying me for the time I am slow! This bow thingee hoping it is wonderfull should make less work out of fat fingers though!

So.. as soon as I get the link up.. heres the page I am on!! LOL!
