This little guy was sitting on my glads yesterday and I couldn't help but stare. Does anyone know what this is? It has beetle like shell and can fly.

I was told this is a Dogbane Beetle and it looks just like it so I guess this is closed!

Ah-HAH!

Sooo, that's what the lil green-sheened booger was .. that took an extended sit-down on a Butterfly Weed leaf about a week ago!
I'd wanted him to turn a bit, to maybe fetch a few different angled views of him - but he decided fly off!

Heck, for the length of time that the lil brute sat there .. I was beginning to wonder if he was even alive, until I prodded him! .. lol

I'd been thinking he was a baby 'June beetle' or somethin' ..

Went to check also; here > http://bugguide.net/index.php?q=search&keys=Dogbane+Beetle .. and sure 'nuff!
